الملخص:
 يَهدفُ البحث إلى الوقوفِ على منهج وفكر الدكتور المطعني في تفسيرِ عللِ الرسمِ المصحفي ِ في محاولةٍ لوزنِها في ضوء ما ورد من تعليلات عند علماء الرسم ، حيثُ يطرحُ البحثُ عدةَ تساؤلاتٍ منها : هل فسّر الدكتور المطعني اختلافات الرسم المصحفي بعلل مقبولة أو غير مقبولة ؟ وما موقفه من هذه التعليلات ؟ وهل وافقت تعليلاته تعليلات علماء الرسم السابقين ؟ وهل هذه التعليلات شملت جميع ظواهرِ الرسمِ المصحفي أو أنها كانت نظرات جزئية لا تتناولُ إلا أمثلةً محدودةً ؟ .
       وترجعُ أهميةُ هذا الموضوع إلى :
      -كون علم الرسم المصحفي متعلقًا بالقرآن الكريم ؛ ولا أعظم ولا أهم ّ من بحث يتناول كلام الله – تعالى - بالخدمة والدراسة من أيّ حيثية ومن أي زاوية كان ذلك البحث .
      - إظهار توجيهات الدكتور المطعني لظواهر الرسم المصحفي ومدى موافقته لتعليلات علماء الرسم السابقين .

Abstract:
 The research aims to stand on the approach and thought of Dr. Al-Muta'ni in explaining the ills of the drawing in an attempt to weigh them in the light of the explanations received by the scholars of the drawing, where the research raises several questions, including: Did Dr. Al-Muta'ni explain the differences of the drawing Al-Ma'ani with acceptable or unacceptable reasons? What is his position on these explanations? Did his explanations agree with the explanations of previous drawing scholars? Did these explanations include all the phenomena of the journalistic drawing, or were they partial views that deal with only limited examples?.
       The importance of this topic is due to:
      – The fact that the science of drawing is related to the Holy Qur'an, and there is no greater or more important research dealing with the words of Allah - may He be exalted - by serving and studying from any point of view and from any angle that research was.
      - Showing the guidance of Dr. Al-Muta'ni for the phenomena of drawing and the extent to which he agrees with the explanations of previous drawing scholars.
